In this project, the client requested that I build out a fireplace/cabinet/shelving feature wall in the living room. I designed this layout based upon their available space. I first built the framework to contain an electric fireplace, mantle and TV mounts. From there, I did all the stonework on the front of the fireplace feature wall, then installed the base cabinets. Once the cabinets were installed, I built the shelving and did all the finish work to complete the project. I also had help from a local electrician to install custom LED lighting under each shelf, and on the top of each shelf. He also ran a dedicated circuit specific to the fireplace. This was quite a transformation to the client’s living room and they are happy with the final outcome.
