Greenhouse Project

I built this greenhouse for a client, partially from a kit and partially from scratch.  The lower wall was built from scratch out of treated lumber, the upper arch portion was built from a kit the client had ordered.  When I arrived, the kit segments were in bundles, and the concrete foundation had been poured.

I built the knee wall first, 3 1/2 feet tall, then set the arch structure on top of the wall and built it according to the manufacturer’s instructions, which were “less than optimal.”

All exterior components were stained, along with the interior arch frame pieces.  On the base wall section, I added concrete backer board, then installed the stacking stone around the perimeter of the base walls for a more finished look.
